马太福音21:42-46
42耶稣说：“经上写着：‘匠人所弃的石头，已作了房角的头块石头。这是主所作的，在我们眼中看为希奇。’这经你们没有念过吗？43所以我告诉你们， 神的国必从你们夺去，赐给那能结果子的百姓。44谁掉在这石头上，必要跌碎；这石头掉在谁的身上，就要把谁砸得稀烂。”45祭司长和法利赛人听见他的比喻，就看出他是指着他们说的。46他们想要捉拿他，只是怕众人，因为众人以他为先知。
我曾经在城市里服事过一间教会，教会的名字很简单就叫“耶稣聚集”。他们在通往市区的路旁树立起巨大的广告牌，颜色是醒目的黄色。广告牌上写着，“耶稣。”他们在当地的高中社区出版物上，也使用相同的标语和广告。有人对这个广告发出了很大的抱怨，所以他们不再被允许放置这个广告了。你知道人们抱怨什么吗？他们抱怨耶稣的名字后面有个句号。
“耶稣。”在我们的文化里政治上是不正确的，但是在神学上是正确的。耶稣在约翰福音14章里清楚的说，“我就是道路、真理、生命；若不藉着我，没有人能到父那里去”，使徒们在使徒行传第4章清楚的说，“除他以外，别无拯救。因为在天下人间，没有赐下别的名，我们可以靠着得救”。
你可以相信任何宗教，你总会得救的，如果这是真的话，那么整个圣经就毫无意义了。如果真是那样的话，如果任何宗教都可以拯救，那么父神为什么要差遣他的儿子来这个世界，为世人的罪而死？如果我们可以在任何别的名里找到拯救，那么神子为什么要为我们舍命？
我们在耶稣里得救的故事，即是最排外的故事，也是最包容的故事。说它排外是因为唯独耶稣可以拯救我们，说它包容是因为耶稣为整个世界的罪而死，所有相信他的都要得救。包括我，也包括你。
祷告：主耶稣啊，唯独在你那里才有盼望，在别处都没有。感谢你带领我相信你，因为没有你的话，我就要在罪的重担之下被压垮。求你帮助我看到，我周围还有很多人没有在你里面的盼望，求你使用我把拯救的消息带给尽可能多的人。阿们。
Matthew 21:42-46: 42 Jesus said to them, “Have you never read in the Scriptures: “‘The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone; the Lord has done this, and it is marvelous in our eyes’?43 “Therefore I tell you that the kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a people who will produce its fruit. 44 Anyone who falls on this stone will be broken to pieces; anyone on whom it falls will be crushed.” 45 When the chief priests and the Pharisees heard Jesus’ parables, they knew he was talking about them. 46 They looked for a way to arrest him, but they were afraid of the crowd because the people held that he was a prophet.
There was a church in the city that I served that simply called itself Jesus Assembly of God. They put up large billboards on the roads coming into town that were bright yellow. The billboards read, “Jesus.” They used the same slogan and advertised in the local high school community publication. There were vocal complaints about the ad. They were not allowed to place the ad again. Do you know what people complained about? It was the period behind Jesus’ name.
“Jesus.” is not politically correct in our culture, but it is theologically correct. Jesus made it clear in John 14 when he said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father except through me.” The apostles made it clear in Acts 4 when they said, “There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to people by which we must be saved.”
The whole story of the Bible would make no sense at all if it were true that you could believe in any religion at all and still be saved. If that were the case, why would God the Father send his Son into the world to die for the sins of the world, if any religion could save us? Why would the Son of God lay down his life for us if we could find salvation in any other name but his?
The story of our salvation in Jesus is the most exclusive and yet inclusive story of all. It is exclusive, because only Jesus can save us. It is inclusive, because he died for the sins of the whole world, and everyone who believes in him will be saved. Even me. Even you.
Prayer: Lord Jesus, there is hope in you and in no other! Thank you for bringing me to faith in you, for without you I would be crushed beneath a load of sin. Help me to see the countless people around me who still do not have that hope in you. Use me to bring this message of salvation to as many people as I possibly can. Amen.
