希伯来书：10: 11-14：11凡祭司天天站着事奉神，屡次献上一样的祭物，这祭物永不能除罪。12但基督献了一次永远的赎罪祭，就在神的右边坐下了。13从此等候他仇敌成了他的脚凳。14因为他一次献祭，便叫那得以成圣的人永远完全。
这些话听上去有些没道理。“因为他一次献祭，便叫那得以成为圣洁的人永远完全。”或者，“那些得以成圣的人。”如果你已经得以完全，你又如何经历正在成圣的这个过程？
然而，这些话完全说明了神在基督里已经为我们所做的，以及神在基督里正在为我们所做的。上帝在耶稣里面已经为我们成就了什么？他让我们得以完全、圣洁。我们因为在耶稣里面的信心而称义。我们因为耶稣在十字架上的牺牲被上帝算为公义。因为上帝将我看作是圣徒，当耶稣在末日再来的时候我不会有任何惧怕，在上帝的眼前我已完全成为圣洁，我不需要再做任何事情，没有什么缺少的。
这就是我的故事，我会抓住它紧紧不放。我在上帝的面前成为圣徒，而且我的上帝在我里面做工，让我每一天都能够变得越来越像他。我是一件已经完成的作品，同时这件作品也是正在不断被完成的。
祷告：主耶稣，谢谢你的完美牺牲，藉此我得以在上帝的眼中得以完全。求你无论今日和今后的每一天都在我的里面做工，让我的生命越来越成为因为相信你而将成为的样子。我这样的祈求是奉你的名。阿们。
Hebrews 10: Day after day every priest stands and performs his religious duties; again and again he offers the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins. 12 But when this priest had offered for all time one sacrifice for sins, he sat down at the right hand of God, 13 and since that time he waits for his enemies to be made his footstool. 14 For by one sacrifice he has made perfect forever those who are being made holy.
These words don’t seem to make sense: “For by one sacrifice he has made perfect forever those who are being made holy.” Or, “those who are being sanctified. If you are already made perfect, how can you be in the process of being sanctified, be being made holy?
Yet these words make perfect sense in what God has done for us in Christ and what God is doing for us in Christ. What has God done for us in Christ? He has made us perfect, holy. We are justified by faith in Jesus. We are judged to be righteous based on the sacrifice that Jesus made on the cross. Because I am a saint in the sight of God, I have nothing to fear when Jesus comes again on the last day. There is nothing lacking, nothing that I must do to be completely holy in the sight of God.
And yet, God is working in us through his Holy Spirit and his Word to sanctify us every day. I have known many wonderful saints in my time as a pastor, especially older people who oozed joy and peace from every pore in their being. But when they told their stories, they told stories of youths that were misspent or wasted. God was continually working in their lives so that they grew to look more like the saints they were by faith in Jesus.
So that’s my story and I am sticking to it! I am a saint before God and my God is working in me to become more and more like him every day. I am a finished product and a product that needs finishing at the same time.
Prayer: Lord Jesus, thank you for your perfect sacrifice by which you have made me perfect in God’s eyes. Work in my today and every day that my life might become more and more like what I am by faith in your. I ask this in your name. Amen.
