1 Corinthians

哥林多前书：15:5-9: 5并且显给矶法看，然后显给十二使徒看，6后来一时显给五百多弟兄看，其中一大半到如今还在，却也有已经睡了的。7以后显给雅各看，再显给众使徒看，8末了，也显给我看；我如同未到产期而生的人一般。9我原是使徒中最小的，不配称为使徒，因为我从前逼迫神的教会。
我22岁在冰河公园打工的时候，曾经和一名毕业于自由派神学院的人聊天。我们讨论耶稣的复活。我问他：“如果你不相信约拿被大鱼吞了三天后被吐出来，那你又怎么能相信耶稣从死里复活，因为耶稣将自己的复活比作约拿的遭遇？”他回答说：“我们也不能保证。”说实话，我不知道自己该说什么。
我真应该将保罗写的这几句话指给他看。保罗证实了耶稣复活这一事实，他指出有很多人目击了耶稣的复活。四部福音书里有很多故事记载了耶稣的复活，比如门徒的目击证词。除此以外，还有更多人看到了。他们中的一些人已经死了，但当保罗写下这些话的时候，大部分人还活着。换句话说，这些人自己就能核实这件事情。
我认为古代世界历史中没有任何事件的目击记录能超过耶稣的复活。仍然有人说不过是门徒编造的故事而已。但有人甘愿为自己编造的故事献上生命吗？所有的使徒都殉道了，除了约翰。约翰生命的最后几年是在监狱里度过的。
耶稣的复活是事实。它的确发生过。他的应许终将实现。《约翰福音》14章19节：“因为我活着，你们也要活着！”
祷告：仁慈的耶稣，复活的主，你复活后向很多目击者显现，所以我们确定你真的从死里复活了。你的应许给我带来盼望，当你在末日降临使死人复活的时候，我也会一同复活。因为你已经从死里复活，并且胜过了死亡。阿们。
When I worked in Glacier Park when I was 22 years old, I had a conversation with a man that graduated from a liberal theological seminary. We had a discussion about the resurrection. I asked, “If you don’t believe that Jonah was swallowed by a fish and came out after three days, how can you believe that Jesus rose from the dead, if he compared his resurrection to what happened to Jonah?” He replied, “We can’t be sure of that, either.” I honestly didn’t know what to say.
What I should have done was pointed him to these verses from Paul. Paul CERTIFIES the fact of Jesus’ resurrection by pointing out that there were many witnesses to Jesus being alive. We have the story of the resurrection recorded in all four gospels, the eye-witness accounts of the disciples. And there were many more besides. Some had died, but most were still alive when Paul wrote these words. In other words, they could check out the facts for themselves.
I don’t think that there is any event in the history of the ancient world that has more eyewitness accounts than the resurrection of Jesus. There are those who still say the disciples just made up the story. But would people willingly die for the story they made up? All the apostles except for John did, and he spent the last years of his life in prison.
The resurrection of Jesus is a fact. It really happened. And his promise will come true. John 14:9: “Because I live, you also will live!”
Prayer: Gracious Savior, risen Lord, you appeared to many witnesses after your resurrection so that we would have certainty that you really did rise from the dead. Give me hope in your promise, that I will live again when you come on the last day to raise the dead, because you rose from the dead and have won the victory over death. Amen.
