7耶稣和门徒退到海边去，有许多人从加利利跟随他。8还有许多人听见他所作的大事，就从犹太、耶路撒冷、以土买、约旦河外并推罗、西顿的四方，来到他那里。9他因为人多，就吩咐门徒叫一只小船伺候着，免得众人拥挤他。10他治好了许多人，所以凡有灾病的，都挤进来要摸他。11污鬼无论何时看见他，就俯伏在他面前，喊着说：“你是 神的儿子！”12耶稣再三地嘱咐他们，不要把他显露出来。
我曾经服事的教会，能容纳一千人同时聚会，但令人遗憾的是，每个星期天早上只不到20人来这里参加敬拜。如果某个星期天早上，教会里的每个座位都坐满了，那绝对是非常美好的一件事。我想如果我能医治疾病，赶鬼，那我的愿望可能就会实现。只是，也许我应该小心看待我这个愿望。如果有一千个新来教会的人，我下一步该怎么办?我该如何教导他们，如何培养他们的信心?我有充足的时间去辅导他们吗?
这就是耶稣面对的情况。耶稣施行神迹奇事的消息传开了，人们从很远的地方来找他。他们带着病人挤到他前面，好叫耶稣医治他们。耶稣在船上讲道是必要的，只是为了不让人们拥挤他。耶稣是上帝的儿子，可以行任何神迹，但他也是一个完全的人，一天只有24小时，必须找时间吃饭和睡觉。
我们很多基督徒白天工作很忙，晚上又忙于家庭事务。当今社会的文化以忙碌的生活为骄傲。但有时候，需要忙的事太多了，尤其是当我们为一些不重要的事情而忙碌。在你忙碌的时候，向耶稣祷告吧。耶稣知道忙碌是什么感觉，他知道时间太少，又有太多的人向他提出要求是什么感觉。
祷告:主耶稣啊，在我忙碌的生活中，求你帮助我，使我找时间来亲近你和你的话语。感谢你理解我在繁忙生活中所面对的试探，你是我永远的朋友，感谢你在我需要的时候来帮助我。阿们。
Mark 3:7-12: Jesus withdrew with his disciples to the lake, and a large crowd from Galilee followed. 8 When they heard about all he was doing, many people came to him from Judea, Jerusalem, Idumea, and the regions across the Jordan and around Tyre and Sidon. 9 Because of the crowd he told his disciples to have a small boat ready for him, to keep the people from crowding him. 10 For he had healed many, so that those with diseases were pushing forward to touch him. 11 Whenever the impure spirits saw him, they fell down before him and cried out, “You are the Son of God.” 12 But he gave them strict orders not to tell others about him. I am serving a church that seats 1,000 in their sanctuary, but which sadly worships less than twenty on a Sunday morning. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if every pew was filled this Sunday morning? I suppose if I could heal the sick and cast out demons, my wish might just come true. Only, maybe I should be careful about what I wish for. What would I do with a thousand new prospects? How would I teach them and grow their faith? Where would I find the time to counsel them?
Welcome to Jesus’ world. Word got around about his miracles and people came from great distances to see him. They brought their sick and pushed their way to the front so that they could be healed. It was necessary for Jesus to preach from a boat, just to keep people from crowding him. He was the Son of God and could do any miracle, and yet he was also fully human who only had twenty-four hours in a day and had to find time to eat and sleep.
Some of you reading this work busy days and have busy nights with your family obligations. The culture in our country prides itself on busy lives. Sometimes, too much so, especially if we are busy with unimportant things. In the midst of your busy-ness, pray to Jesus. He knows what it is like to have too little time and too many people making demands on him.
Prayer: Lord Jesus, in the busy-ness of life, always let me find time for you and for your Word. Thank you for understanding the temptations that come with such a busy life, and for being my everlasting Friend in time of need. Amen.
