哥林多前书2：12-13: 12我们所领受的，并不是世上的灵，乃是从神来的灵，叫我们能知道神开恩赐给我们的事。13并且我们讲说这些事，不是用人智慧所指教的言语，乃是用圣灵所指教的言语，将属灵的话解释属灵的事。（或作将属灵的事讲与属灵的人）  

         这些经文能帮助我们理解，为什么我们会说是圣灵启示人写圣经的。圣灵并不是只给出一个概念，然后就让作者随意去写；他也不仅只是给他们动力去写下重要的事；他把要圣经作者们写下来的确切的话语告诉了他们。我们称之为“逐字默示”。听听保罗在这里说的话：“我们讲说这些事，不是用人智慧所指教的言语，乃是用圣灵所指教的言语，将属灵的话解释属灵的事。”保罗和其他圣经作者所写下的话语，都是被圣灵默示的。

         有时人们会说，上帝的事情是如此奇妙，无法理解，以至于人类的语言无法表达。但保罗说的恰好相反。圣灵会用属灵的话解释属灵的事，使我们可以知道神为那些爱他的人预备了什么。

         还有人说，圣经是很久以前被人写的，今天很多事情已经发生了变化。但是难道圣经难道不比几千年前人类写的其他一些东西更重要吗？难道上帝的话语不正是对每个时代每个人的个人经历所说的话吗？如果圣经都是神的话语，是用属灵的话解释属灵的事，那么圣经就适用于每一个时代。我很感恩，我每天读圣经，我知道上帝在对我说话！ 祷告：圣灵，我的神和我的主，你通过默示的方式向人类赐下你的话语。每一个时代、每一个文化都应当教导和学习你的话语，因为它们是在用属灵的话语解释属灵的真理。我祷告自己能永远殷勤的学习你的话语，祈求你赐给我智慧，来理解这些真理。阿们。

These words help us to understand what it means when we say that the Holy Spirit inspired people to write the Bible. He didn’t just give them an idea and let them run with it. He didn’t just give them motivation to write down something important. He gave them the exact words that he wanted them to write down for us.  We called the “verbal inspiration,” or “word for word inspiration.” Listen to what Paul says. “We speak about these things, not in words taught by human wisdom, but in words taught by the Spirit, combining spiritual truths with spiritual words.” The very words that Paul and other writers wrote were inspired by the Holy Spirit.

Sometimes the argument is made that the things of God are so wonderful and beyond understanding that they couldn’t possibly be expressed by human language. Paul says just the opposite. The Holy Spirit combined spiritual truths with spiritual words so that we might know what God has prepared for those who love him.

Another argument that is made is that the Bible was written by men a long time ago, and things are different today. But what the Bible is more than what some men wrote thousands of years ago?  What if these are the very words of God that speak to the human experience of every person of every age?  If these are God’s Words, expressing spiritual truths with spiritual words, then the Bible is relevant for every age.  I am thankful that I can read the Bible today and know that God is speaking to me!  

Prayer:  Holy Spirit, God and Lord, you gave men the very words to write when you inspired your Holy Word. They are useful for teaching and learning in every age and every culture, because they are spiritual words expressing spiritual truths. My prayer is that I would always give diligent study to your word, praying for your wisdom to understand these truths.   Amen.
