哥林多后书3：1-3：1我们岂是又举荐自己吗？岂像别人，用人的荐信给你们或用你们的荐信给人吗？2你们就是我们的荐信，写在我们的心里，被众人所知道、所念诵的。3你们明显是基督的信，藉着我们修成的。不是用墨写的，乃是用永生神的灵写的；不是写在石版上，乃是写在心版上。

保罗向我们展示了一幅优美的画面。他说哥林多信徒是基督的信，不是用墨写的 ，乃是用永生神的灵写的；不是写在毫无生命气息的石版上，乃是写在人的心版上。我能想到一个类似的比喻就是：我们是一部小说，是基督用上帝的灵写成的。

那么你的故事是什么呢？你的故事就是基督在你的生命里已经做和正在做的事情。正如一部小说，故事情节并不总是像你想象的那样美好。某些章节充满了着痛苦和悲伤，某些章节则充满了失败，因为你似乎又回到原来的老路上。然而，你见证了上帝的恩典。神在他的恩典中，藉着洗礼呼召你相信。是神的恩典找到了你，塑造了你并让你成熟。是神的恩典帮助你渡过那些艰难时刻，支撑着你。正如赞美诗“奇异恩典”所唱的，正是这个恩典有朝一日会带领我们回天家。

当人们读我的故事时，他们能学到什么呢？我想这也是我一直应该重视的事情。我是耶稣所写的一封活生生的信，我的家人、朋友和邻居都会读到它。我祷告那些认识我的人能在我身上能看到基督。我祷告他们甚至能从我的失败中看到敬虔的悔改，这悔改只有基督藉着他的灵才能带给我。如果人们把我的故事读完，藉着神的恩典，他们会看到一个快乐的结局。

祷告：主耶稣啊，感谢你使我成为神的孩子，也谢谢你将我的生命写成一个故事。我祷告我的生命会永远归荣耀给你，并在我的生命中为你的恩典做美好的见证。阿们。

2 Corinthians 3: Are we beginning to commend ourselves again? Or do we need, like some people, letters of recommendation to you or from you? 2 You yourselves are our letter, written on our hearts, known and read by everyone. 3 You show that you are a letter from Christ, the result of our ministry, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts.  (NIV)

Paul presents us with a beautiful picture. He says that the Corinthians are a letter from Christ, not written with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on lifeless tablets of stone but on the tablets of human hearts. I think that a similar analogy would be to say that we are a novel that is being written by Christ with the Spirit of God.

        So what’s your story? Your story is a story of what Christ has done and his doing in your life. Just like a novel, that story isn’t always as beautiful as you would like it to be. There are chapters of sorrow and trouble. There are chapters of failure, too, when you slipped back into old ways. Yet, you are a testimony to God’s grace. It was grace that called you to faith in your baptism. It was grace that found you and formed you and matured you. It was grace that got you over those difficult times and sustained you. And as we sing in the hymn, it is grace that will lead us home.

        What do people learn when they read my story? I think that’s something I should always be aware of. I am a living letter written by Christ that will be read by my family and friends and neighbors. I pray that those who know me will see Christ in me. I pray that even in my failures they will see a godly repentance that only Christ can bring about with his Spirit. And if you read my story to the end, by God’s grace, you will read a happy ending.

Prayer:   Lord Jesus, thank you for making me God’s child and for writing the story of my life. I pray that my life will always give glory to you and be a witness to your grace in my life.  Amen.
